Last night the Group chat for the Duran Duran Fan Club dinged and for a change it was actually a Duranie with a legitimate question instead of spam. I ended up chatting with a few random Duranies as we observed the Lost Continents of Duran Duran from the distance of the world map. Apparently a few changes have been made to the landscape--including a vaguely unnerving texture on the shoreline of Khanada. (Have a look for yourself. Just don't expect to be able to teleport in to observe it up close.)

So it occurred to me that there are quite a few avies like me who showed up for Duran Duran and ended up staying because of everything else that Second Life had to offer. So I've decided to do a couple of profiles of Duranies In Waiting like myself. I have two avies so far who have expressed an interest and I'll be asking around for others. Stay tuned.

Interesting. I remember when it was fun to meet other DD fans. Then something went psycho. If I did Second Life I might get addicted. I did it once before it got popular. I really don't have time to addicted to anything except work and sleep. Well. Back in 2001-2003 when I was not working full time I am sure I would be in Second Life 24/7.
